Pickleball is a racket sport played between two opposing sides of 2-4 players. The aim of the game is to hit the ball over the net in a way that causes the other side to fault. Think of it as a hybrid of tennis and badminton. People of all ages can play Pickleball, from school-aged children through to elderly retirees.
The court is the same size as a badminton court (20 x 44), which is roughly half the size of a tennis court. The net is slightly shorter than a tennis net at 36". Pickleball can be played on an adapted tennis court, but purpose built Pickleball Courts are becoming more and more common.
The game begins when a player serves the ball to the opposing side. When serving one foot must be kept behind the back line and the ball must be struck with an underhand swing.
